How long does it take for a photon to travel through the convection zone

Biology

Answer:

50 million years

Explanation:

It can take a photon as long as 50 million years to travel all the way through the radiative zone. The convection zone surrounds the radiative zone. In the convection zone, hot material from near the Sun's center rises, cools at the surface, and then plunges back downward to receive more heat from the radiative zone.

Which molecule is less soluble in water--a fat or a phospholipid? Why?
VladimirAG [237]
Fat is less soluble in water compared to phospholipids.
This is because, fat is made up of three molecules of fatty acids which are not polar in nature at all, thus they mixed very poorly with water.
Phospholipids on the other hand has its molecules divided into two distinct regions, the head and the tail region. The head region is hydrophillic and it is polar in nature, that is, it mixes well with water. The tail region is made up of the fatty components  and it is hydrophobic.
Because of this difference in structure, phospholipid will dissolve better in water.

How do chemical stains make light microscopes more useful
anastassius [24]
When a specimen is to be observed under the light microscope, scientists usually stain the specimens using different type of chemical stains depending on the type of specimen to be observed. Staining of specimen make the structures that are to be observed in the specimen very visible under the microscope, this make it easy for scientists to observe their structures.
