When the gates to the fair opened, a stampede of children and their parents rushed in. People were happily running everywhere. T

hey tripped over each other as they formed lines for their favorite rides and foods. They cheered each other on while waiting for their turn to play games and win prizes. Nobody minded the crowds. They were too busy having fun!

It never mentions animals once so it wouldn't be 1 or 4. It doesn't say parents lead the way in fact it said both stampeded in.
