When THC binds to its receptor, how are the levels of cAMP affected in the post synaptic cells?
Nadya [2.5K]

Cannabinoid receptors, located throughout the body, are part of the Endocannabinoid system which is involved in a variety of physiological processes including appetite, pain-sensation, mood, and memory.[1]

Cannabinoid receptors are of a class of cell membrane receptors under the G protein-coupled receptor superfamily. As is typical of G protein-coupled receptors, the cannabinoid receptors contain seven transmembrane spanning domains.[5] Cannabinoid receptors are activated by three major groups of ligands: endocannabinoids, produced by the mammillary body; plant cannabinoids (such as Cannabidiol, produced by the cannabis plant); and synthetic cannabinoids (such as HU-210). All of the endocannabinoids and plant cannabinoids are lipophilic, such as fat soluble compounds.

How is nitrogen metabolism in the prokaryotes vital to other organisms? given the roles of bacteria in the nitrogen cycle, how w
Murljashka [212]
Metabolizing nitrogen in prokaryotes is very important to other organisms since these prokaryotes are able to convert ammonium in the soil to nitrate and, then, the denitrifying bacteria could use the nitrate produced instead of using oxygen in their metabolism in order to release nitrogen molecules. by the denitrification process, thus completing the nitrogen cycle. Without the nitrogen metabolism in prokaryotes, the nitrogen in the atmosphere could not be used or utilized to synthesize essential organic compounds that are needed by other organisms. It is only the prokaryotes that has the ability fixing nitrogen or can do the process of nitrogen fixation.

Syntenic genes can assort independently when:_________.
Arturiano [62]

Answer:

4.

Explanation:

Synteny oe syntenic gene is defined as the physical co-localization of genetic loci on the same chromosome within a speciesand inidvidual.

In the beginning of the meiosis process, when genes are present in the same chromosomes but very far, they undergo indepedent assort due to homologous recombination and the random exchnage of matching fragment in  homologous chromosomes takes place. During the crossing over there are very less chances that all types of gametes are produced accurate frequency.

Hence, the correct answer is 4.
