Answer:
I personally think that characterization is a very important part to an excellent story. I think this because what's the point of having characters in a story and not give them names, features, thoughts, ect. If you put characters in a story you have to give them S.T.E.A.L., speech, thoughts, effects on the other characters, actions, and looks. It would be pointless to have a character without characterization. I can not right off hand think of any book I have read that has poor characterization in it. As, for good characterization there are many book that I can think of. One of my personal favorites is a book called Lair of Dreams by Libba Bray. It is the second book in a series called the Diviners series. This book is great because all of the characters in it have a specific way of thinking and going about their everyday lives. Most of the main characters are known as Diviners. Diviners have certain "powers" and some of the characters in this specific book turn out to be diviners even though it is least expected.
