nd Imposed Discipline. Rima is a nine years old student who has a very strong personality and always tries to force her friends to talk, play and interrupt while the teacher is giving her/his lesson. She disturbs others all the time by acting freely in class. What might best work in fixing Rima’s challenging behavior? Explain your answer with reference to the lectures we completed.
The best way to fix Rima's defiant behavior is through positive and negative punishment.
We can arrive at this answer because:
Positive and/or negative punishment must be applied whenever an adverse behavior must be eliminated, such as Rima's behavior.
Positive punishment occurs when a negative element is added to encourage the abandonment of negative behavior.
Negative punishment occurs when a positive element is removed to encourage the abandonment of negative behavior.
In Rima's case, positive punishment can be applied by leaving her more time at school after class whenever she maintains this negative behavior. Negative punishment, on the other hand, can occur when something Rima likes is taken away from her, whenever she maintains this behavior.
