The text mentions that some advertisers focused on the desires and fears of people. How does the advertisement for corn flakes d
Alexxx [7]

Answer:

First of all, the desire of the public is almost always going to have a pattern, as well as their fears, even though fearing something could be very individual, you still can find a pattern.

In this case, when you're advertising corn flakes, what you need to focus, besides the image, is the message that is being said, and in this case, you need to focus, not only on the quality of the product, but the desire to eat and what this will give you if you eat it, for example, iron. And by saying what you'll get with that, you focus on what happens if you don't get the iron inside the corn flakes, do I get sick? That's what the general public will think and then buy the product.

How were the lives of ordinary white southerners who did not own slaves influenced by the South's status as a "slave society"?
QveST [7]
Hmm you see this I a good question.

In my mindset they were looked down upon maybe even worse than the slaves themselves. You see how many slaves you owned was a indicator of your wealth the more you had the richer you were the less you had the poorer you were.
They were probably shunned in their communities and thought of as slave lovers. Treated badly and strongly Influenced by everyone's opinions that if you didn't have slaves you weren't anyone.

Hope I gave you some insight -beanz :)
