What do you think was the most important or pressing problem faced by Ancient Rome? Why?

<span>The biggest problem with this system is that the senate didn't set up any controls on the tax farmers.  While most Romans were willing to pay taxes, and even allow the tax farmer some profit, many of the tax farmers went way beyond what people expected. Under Roman law you could pay someone to vote for you.</span>

Well once this was completed the British invaded Egypt and thus began a long occupation of the country. After WWII Egypt demanded an evacuation of the British troops from the Suez Canal.

Prior to the outbreak of the Civil War, the election of 1860 increased sectional tensions of the United States by lifting pro-union, anti-slavery statesman, Abraham Lincoln into the Presidency. In reaction, the Southern States protested in many ways, but in no more dramatic way than, one by one, seceding.
