The moral of the story is to never argue over a single issue since there will always be others. Baya and Sura may have shard the goat in the narrative.

Lastly, the lesson we can learn in this story is that it was wrong for Sura to break the promise they had but it was also wrong of Baya to be selfish. Baya should've been more open minded and at least let Sura have some food as Sura was very hungry.
