Answer:

child buffet = $16, adult buffet =$23

Step-by-step explanation:

lets assume that child buffets costs, $x

and adult buffets costs $y

2x+4y= $124 .............this is our first equation

x+4y =$108 ................our second equation

<em>2x + 4y = 124</em>

<em>2x = 124 - 4y</em>

<em>x = 62 - 2y ....from first equation</em>

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<em>x+4y =$108</em>

<em>x = 108 -4y ... from second equation</em>

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

now we will solve it through simultaneous equations

<em>62 - 2y = 108 -4y</em>

<em>2y = 46</em>

<em>y = $23</em>

<em>if y =$23</em>

<em>then x = 108 - 4(23)</em>

<em>x = $16</em>

Julie wrote the rate $108 in 6 weeks as a unit rate. Find her mistake and correct it.
Goshia [24]
Julie wants to express $108 in 6 weeks as a unit rate.

Her errors are:
$108 = $54   (Not true)
6 weeks = 3 weeks (Not true).

Instead,
\frac{\$108}{6\,weeks} \\ = \frac{\$54 \times 2}{3\,weeks \times 2} \\ = \frac{\$54}{3\,weeks} \\ =18 \,  \frac{\$}{week}

The correct unit rate is 18 $/week.

Ms. Lui earned an annual income of 775,000, what is the weekly salary?
jok3333 [9.3K]

Answer:

$14,903.85

Step-by-step explanation:

So, Ms. Lui earns $775,000 each year. To find the weekly salary, we have to divide the annual income by the amount of weeks in a year. There are about 52 weeks in one year. Let's find the weekly salary:

\frac{775000}{52} = 14,903.85

Therefore, Ms. Lui earns $14,903.85 a week.

Hope this helps! If you have questions about my work, please leave them in the comments!

A 5 hour and 25-minute flight begins at 9:40 at what time will it end
motikmotik
Your answer is 3:05.

 You must add on to 9:40. So what I did was 9 + 5 = 14.
14 - 12 = 2.
So far it's 2:40.
25 minutes + 40. = 65.
Well there are 60 minutes in an hours. So 65 would be equal to 1H and 5min.
Now take that 1 hour. Add it to 2.
3 hours. And take your 5 minutes.
There! 3:05

Simple interest $1600.00 at 6% for 180 days
ikadub [295]

Answer:

Interest = $47.34

Step-by-step explanation:

Formula:-

Simple interest I = PNR/100

P - Principle amount

N - number of years

R - Rate of interest

It is given that

P = $ 1600

R = 6%

Number of days = 180 days

<u>To find the simple interest for 1 year(365 days) </u>

I = PNR/100

= (1600 * 1 * 6)/100 = $96

<u>To find the interest for 180 days </u>

For 365 day I = $96

For 180 days I = (180/365) * 96

I  = $47.34
