What is dollar markup?

cost = $600.
1% = 600/100 = $6 [just cancel the zeros above and below]
30% = 1% x 30 = $6 x 30 = $180.

I hope that helps!

You are installing a brick sidewalk. The brick portion of the sidewalk will occupy an area of 100 feet long by 4 feet wide. Each
adelina 88 [10]

Answer:

1,800 bricks are needed

Step-by-step explanation:

First convert the Length and width of the sidewalk into inches

Entire Sidewalk: L= 100x12 =1200in and W= 4 x 12 = 48in

Then we know Area = LxW, so we will do this for both the sidewalk and the brick.

Area of sidewalk: 1200 x 48 = 57600

Bricks ( no need to convert since the measurements are already in inches): 8 x 4 = 32

Now we will divide the area of the entire sidewalk by the area of a single brick to find out how many bricks you need to complete the whole sidewalk:

57600/32= 1,800 bricks
