Answer:

In the citation from Passage, Connie Willis expresses that writing is a way for writers from the past to speak with perusers of today. We can peruse their accounts, books, and different texts to learn examples about existence. Willis alludes to these examples as messages "from past the grave." Willis has a positive perspective with regard to the immortality of writing.

He thought literature was vital because it allowed previous generations to pass along their knowledge. This is a prevalent theme among both literary and historical enthusiasts. Many people believe that if we do not listen to and learn from the mistakes of the past, we will be bound to repeat them.

kobusy [5.1K]

The correct answer is “Most yeomen will have vats and presses for making cheeses—a valuable source of protein in the long winter season.”

Indeed, since for farmers of the previous centuries food was scarcer due to the lack of technological advances they had to rely on reserves of food. Meats had to be stored in a dry place and profusely salted to reduce the rate of decomposition. The same applied for grains since dampness destroyed them. Cheese in the other hand was more easily stored during winter and since both meat and grains were scarcer sources of proteins during the cold season, cheese was an excellent replacement due to its milky nature.
