A) 75

The two triangles are similar, ABC is an enlargement of RST by scale factor 2.5. So all lengths are 2.5 times larger than the lengths for RST

This gives us lengths of 30, 32.5 and 12.5

Adding these together gives us 75 for the perimeter

B) 30

We can work out the missing side of RST using Pythagoras’ theorem, it is 12
(12x5)/2 = 30

C) 187.5

We can use the same method as in B and use the formula for the area of a triangle to work out that the area for ABC is 187.5

V125BC [204]

Answer:

-9, -5, -4.1, -4

\\q\leq -4

Step-by-step explanation:

I think what you're missing here is that there is a negative sign in front of the q. This means that whatever number you put in for q will be multiplied by negative 1. Positive numbers will become negative, and negative numbers will become positive.

If you substitute 9 for q you will get -9\geq 4, which is clearly not true, because -9 is way less than 4.

For writing the equation you divide both sides by -1. When you do this however, you must flip the inequality sign

-q\geq 4\\q\leq -4

the > sign turned into <, and the q and 4 switched signs.

In a survey of 2264 adults, 729 say they believe in ufos. construct a 95 confidence interval for the population proportion of ad
Andreyy89

90% confidence, it can be said that the population proportion of adults who believe in UFOs is between the endpoints of the giver confidence interval [ 0.3026, 0.3348 ].

Here, we have given:

Number of adults (n) = 2272

Number of adults who believe in UFO (x) = 724

Sample proportion (p) = x/n

p = 724 / 2272

p = 0.3187

now, let q = 1 - p

q = 1 - 0.3187

q = 0.6813

Confidence level → 90%

The 90% confidence interval for population proportion is

[ p - 1.645\frac{\sqrt{pq} }{\sqrt{n}} ,p + 1.645\frac{\sqrt{pq} }{\sqrt{n}} ]

where 1.645 is Zac value at 90% confidence level.

p - 1.645\frac{\sqrt{pq} }{\sqrt{n}}  = 0.3187 - 0.0161 = 0.3026

p + 1.645\frac{\sqrt{pq} }{\sqrt{n}} = 0.3187 + 0.0161 = 0.3348

90% confidence interval for the population proportion is

[ 0.3026, 0.3348 ]

Hence, With 90% confidence, it can be said that the population proportion of adults who believe in UFOs is between the endpoints of the giver confidence interval [ 0.3026, 0.3348 ]
