Answer:

As a high schooler myself I would personally ask what classes should you take first because obviously you would want to get your core classes out of the way and then take your electives after because for some schools or it may be all schools you can graduate early if you get all your core classes done. I would also ask which classes are the hardest.

In we wear the mask how does the poet use irony to reject the romantic nation of idealism
katrin2010 [14]

The speaker opens the poem with the declaration that we wear masks that hide our true feelings. He goes on to emphasize the severity of the pain and suffering that these masks try to cover up ;by the end we understand that all of the politeness and subdued emotions are just phony disguises of the painful truths that hide behind them. And those masks certainly anyt doing anyone any favors.

Like burnt-out torches by sick man's bed

Which technique is being used
Liono4ka [1.6K]

After doing some online searching, I've found that this question refers to figurative language. It is not an incomplete question, it was just missing the context for people to be able to understand it. Now that I know what it is about, I can safely answer:

Answer:

Simile.

Explanation:

In the phrase "Like burnt-out torches by a sick man's bed" we have something being compared to something else. Even though we don't know what it is, we know it is compared to burnt-out torches. The comparison was made with the help of a support word, "like". Its purpose it to attribute one or more qualities of a burnt-out torch to something else by saying they are similar. Comparisons that use support words are called simile. They are a very common figure of speech along with metaphors, with the difference that metaphors also make comparisons, but without using support words.
