Find x in the given figure if m∠AOC = 130°. Question 7 options: A) –14 B) 8 C) 10.5 D) 14
soldi70 [24.7K]

Answer:

B) x=8

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve, we must find x like so:

We know that angle AOC = 130, so adding AOB and BOC will equal 130, then we solve for x.

(6x-5)+(8x+23)=130\\6x-5+8x+23=130\\14x+18=130\\14x=130-18\\14x=112\\x=\frac{112}{14}\\x=8

Solve the linear programming problem.<br><br> Maximize and minimize<br><br> z=4x+5y
Mrrafil [7]

Answer:

26

Step-by-step explanation:

The objective function is;

z(x,y)=4x+5y

The vertices of the feasible region are  (0,4), (4,2) and (5,0) and (0,0)'

We substitute the vertices into the objective function to get;

At (0,4);

z(0,4)=4(0)+5(4)=20

At (0,4);

z(4,2)=4(4)+5(2)=26

At (5,0);

z(5,0)=4(5)+5(0)=20

At (0,0);

z(0,0)=4(0)+5(0)=0

Therefore the maximum value is 26

What is the extracts volume of the largest cone that can fit into a cube with edges of 10 inches
Aneli [31]
Volume of a cone = π r² h/3

I envisioned a cone inside a cube. I only identified the necessary value to compute for the exact volume of the largest cone.

Edges of the cube is 10 inches. When the circle part of the cone is placed in the circle, the diameter would be 10 inches also. I divided it by 2 to get the value of the radius, resulting to 5 inches.

The height of the cone is also the height of the cube. Thus, it is 10 inches.

Volume of the cone = 3.14 * (5in)² * 10in/3
V = 3.14 * 25in² * 3.33 in
V = 261.405 in³ or 261.41 in³  VOLUME OF THE LARGEST CONE THAT CAN FIT IN A 10 INCH CUBE

The quotient of 82 and a number decreased by 26
Crazy boy [7]
Let n = the unknown number

"Quotient of 82 and a number" translates to 82 / n

"decreased by 26 tells you you're subtracting 26.

82/n - 26 or \frac{82}{n} - 26
