How does the spread of an airborne pathogen compare to the spread of foodborne and person to person pathogens?
bulgar [2K]
An airborne pathogen would be much more dangerous than that of a foodborne and person to person. Why? Because there is a higher risk of contracting it. With person to person, you could avoid infected people all-together, but with airborne, it's more complex than that. Obviously, the molecular make-up is different as-well, but this is in regard to which pathogens you are talking about.

in one sentence for each resource--water, food, and oxygen--explain how this resource helps provide power to the human body.
geniusboy [140]
Since our bodies are made up of 70 percent water, we need water to keep us from dehydrating, food is important because it has the nutrients and proteins that our bodies need to repair, grow, and  keep healthy, and oxygen is also important because it gets carried throughout our blood stream and oxygenates our muscles, without any of these, we would die within a few weeks

Which answer places the following events in proper order for pulmonary ventilation?
MArishka [77]

Answer:

The sequence is b, a, d, c.

Explanation:

Pulmonary ventilation may be defined as be defined as the simple process of intake of oxygen and exhale of carbon dioxide known as breathing. Diaphragm contracts during inspiration and relax during exhalation.

The pulomonary ventilation occurs when the skeletal muscle contraction occur by the stimulation from the brainstem nuclei. This leads to the changes in the volume of the thoracic cavity. The thorax changes its shape by contraction and relaxation, this leads to the pressure change. Then air flows down the pressure gradient.

Thus, the correct sequence is  b, a, d, c.

Nutka1998 [239]

Answer:

1. D. Only DNA contains genetic information

2. D. Nitrogen and Phosphorus

Explanation:

1. Lipids are insoluble in water unlike other molecules. It stores energy within the fat tissues and cushion internal organs against trauma.

Carbohydrates are sugar units such as monosaccharides, disaccharides molecules which makes up starch that is fuel to your cells.

DNA is a type of nucleic acid that contains genetic information which influences your personal characteristics.

2. The family Rhopalodiaceae has the ability to perform nitrogen fixation, which allows diatoms to fix atmospheric nitrogen. And phosphorus has been found in some diatom species in the Black sea region which does not affect its reproduction rate and also helps in carbon cycle.
