Answer:

4th answer is correct

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula to find the slope of a line is :

m = \frac{y_1-y_2}{x_1-x_2}

In the question, they have given 2 coordinates of the line.

They are,

( -2 , - 9 ) ⇒ ( x₁ , y₁ )

( -1 , -3 ) ⇒ ( x₂ , y₂ )

Let us solve now.

m = \frac{y_1-y_2}{x_1-x_2}

m = \frac{-9-(-3)}{-2-(-1)}

m = \frac{-9+3}{-2+1}

m = \frac{-6}{-1}

m = 6

Hope this helps you :-)

Let me know if you have any other questions :-)

  • We have given points (-2 , -9) and ( -1,-3)

<u>We </u><u>know </u><u>that</u><u>, </u>

\sf{ Slope = }{\bold{\huge{\frac{ y2 - y1 }{ x2 - x1}}}}

\sf{ Here,  y2=-3 , y1= -9 \:and \:x2=-1 , x1 = -2 }

<u>Subsitute </u><u>the </u><u>required </u><u>values</u><u>, </u><u> </u><u>we </u><u>get </u>

\sf{ Slope = }{\bold{\huge{\frac{ -3 -(-9) }{ -1 - (-2)}}}}

\sf{ Slope = }{\bold{\huge{\frac{ -3 + 9 }{ -1  + 2 }}}}

\sf{ Slope = }{\bold{\huge{\frac{ 6 }{1}}}}

Please find the function rule and explain how you got it so it helps me understand better. I am SO bad with function rules. ;-;
riadik2000 [5.3K]
The function rule for x is +1. When you want to get the next number in the set, you add one to the previous number. For example, -1 + 1 = 0.

The function rule for y is - 5. When you want to get the next number in the set, you subtract five to the previous number. For example, 9 - 5 = 4.

Hope this helps!

Consider the following binomial experiment:
Sedbober [7]

Answer:

0.624

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

Number of copiers with the company = 4

It is a binomial experiment.

Probability that on a given day, one copier will break down = \frac{23}{50}

p = \frac{23}{50} = 0.46

q = 1-p = 1-\frac{23}{50}= \frac{27}{50} = 0.54

<em>Formula for Binomial probability: </em>

P(x=r) = _{n}C_{r}p^rq^{n-r}

We have to find P(x >= 2)

P(x >= 2) = P(X=2)+P(X=3)+P(X=4)

P(x=2) = _{4}C_{2}0.46^2\times 0.54^{2} = 0.37\\P(x=3) = _{4}C_{3}0.46^3\times 0.54 = 0.21\\P(x=4) = _{4}C_{4}0.46^4\times 0.54^{0} = 0.044

P(x >= 2) = 0.37 + 0.21 + 0.044 = \bold{0.624}
