Answer:

Humans have learned how to stop and reduce pandemics like the Black plague.

Explanation:

After all the humans saw that there were so many deaths happening just beacuse of the Black plague, they learned how to deal with it, they learned how not to get it, they learned how to keep the number of illnesses and death's low, and they learned how to be more quarantined from this horrific pandemic.

Glossary (bold words):

Black plague:

Bubonic plague is an infection spread mostly to humans by infected fleas that travel on rodents. Called the Black Death, it killed millions of Europeans during the Middle Ages. Prevention doesn't include a vaccine but does involve reducing your exposure to mice, rats, squirrels, and other animals that may be infected.

Pandemic:

A pandemic is when a disease affects the global population. Pandemics are usually caused by new infectious agents (bacteria or viruses) that spread quickly. A pandemic is a type of epidemic, however a pandemic involves the number of people and the geographical area that the disease affects.

Why was the country so divided over tariffs, slavery and states’ rights?
balu736 [363]

Answer:

Answer is Option B: They promoted their regional interests.

Explanation:

The biggest issues that divided the nation was their views on the Constitution.

The North wanted a strong national government, having supreme powers and authority. But, the South supported States' rights. They said that states could nullify the federal laws in case they did not agree with them. Both of them also had different opinions on tariffs. On one hand, North wanted high taxes to protect their industries from foreign competition. South, on the other hand,  were against tariffs. They were more self sufficient than the North ones.

North viewed slavery as evil and inhuman while South said slavery was necessary for their way of life and they even cared for the slaves.
