Answer:

(-4(x-2))/((x+2)|(x-4)|)

Step-by-step explanation:

You were so close. I stared at your problem for a

long time when you first posted it. I used a graphing utility to experiment. Your denominator was perfect for getting the vertical asymptotes in the right place. The y-intercept worked. The x-intercept was exactly right. I couldn't get the far right piece of the curve to reflect down in the fourth quadrant.

Hours later...suddenly BAM! ABSOLUTE VALUE pops into my head.

I always thought the numerator should be negative, so that middle portion of the curve that looks like a cubic would start "up to the left" and end "down to the right" But those left and right curves should be like mirror images of each other sort of. So I tried the absolute value and it worked! Good luck with your work. Hope this helps a little.

Answer:

C. 1.5w^2 + 7.5w + 9

Step-by-step explanation:

Without frame:

The width is w. The height is 1.5w.

With frame:

The width is w + 1.5 + 1.5 = w + 3

The height is 1.5w + 1.5 + 1.5 = 1.5w + 3

The area of the framed portrait is height * width

area = (1.5w + 3)(w + 3)

area = 1.5w^2 + 4.5w + 3w + 9

area = 1.5w^2 + 7.5w + 9

Solve:5m=0.95 solve this please
Serhud [2]

Answer:

m=0.19

Step-by-step explanation:

To work this out you would divide 0.95 by 5. this is because 0.95 is equal to 5*m and so so work out m you would divide 0.95 by 5.

0.95/5=0.19\\m=0.19

How fast must a 56. 5 g tennis ball travel to have a de broglie wavelength equal to that of a photon of green light (5400 angstr
alexandr402 [8]

Answer:

Given:

Mass of the tennis ball=56.5 g

wavelength=5400 Angstroms

De-Broglie Wavelength = 5400 Angstrom.

= 5400 × 10⁻¹⁰ m.

Now, Using the Formula,

λ = h/mv

here,

h is the Planck's constant = 6.62 × 10⁻³⁴ J-s.

and v is the velocity of the tennis balls.

∴ 5400 × 10⁻¹⁰ = (6.62 × 10⁻³⁴)/ (0.054 × v)

⇒ 0.054v = (6.62 × 10⁻³⁴)/ (5400 × 10⁻¹⁰)

⇒ 0.054v = 0.0012 × 10⁻²⁴

⇒ v = 0.0012 × 10⁻²⁴/0.054

⇒ v = 0.023 × 10⁻²⁴ m/s.

Hence, the velocity of the tennis balls is 0.023 × 10⁻²⁴ m/s.
