5x=30
And
x/4=16

The rule states that you must divide each side by a non zero number.

So for 5x=30, divide both sides by 5 to get x=6

For x/4=16, divide both sides by 0.25 to get x=64

PS if your homework only requires one answer then choose 5x=30

A carton of milk contains 2.5L. If Zoe drinks 250ml twice a day, for how many days will the bottle last? The answer is 5 days bu
frez [133]
The main thing you need to know for this question is this conversion:

1 L = 1000 mL   ,   or 1 liter is equal to 1000 milliliters.

So, let's make the entire problem into milliliters:
The carton of milk has 2,500 mL, and Zoe drinks 500 mL a day (250 twice a day).

To find the number of days the bottle will last, you divide the total amount of milk by the amount she drinks per day:

2,500 / 500 = 5 days
