A movie theater made $500 selling 180 tickets. They sell child tickets for $3, adult tickets for $5, and senior tickets for $2.

The number of adult tickets sold was 10 times the number of child tickets. Using c for a child ticket, a for an adult ticket, and s for a senior ticket, what system of equations represents this scenario?
Group of answer choices

a + c + s = 500
3c + 5a + 2s = 180
10a = c

a + c + s = 180
3c + 5a + 2s = 500
10a = c

a + c + s = 500
5c + 2a + 3s = 180
a = 10c

a + c + s = 180
3c + 5a + 2s = 500
a = 10c

Please help i need help on question b
anzhelika [568]

There are 12 possible outcomes.....three of these will be a "7"  ...so...

A "7" should occur  1/4 of the time

If each player pays 20p to play.....the school  will take in  120 * 20  = 2400p

However.......1/4 of the players should win =  30 players.....and each lollipop costs 30p.....so......the school should spend 30 * 30  = 900p for the prizes

So......the school should raise   2400 - 900 = 1500p  if 120 people play the game

Tanzania [10]

Answer:

A. 1 hour and 16 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

There are 250 mL of D5W infusing at 33 gtt/min on IV tubing calibrated at 10 gtt/mL.  Calculate the infusion time.

select "No IV pump"

volume = 250 mL

rate = 33 gtt/min

calibration = 10 gtt/mL

Actual formula:

250 /( 33 gtt/min

10x  60)= 1.26 Hours

0.26 x 60 = 16 minutes

So 1.26 Hours = 1 Hour & 16 minutes

hope this will help you

A television network is deciding whether or not to give its newest television show a spot during prime viewing time at night. If
musickatia [10]

Answer:

a. The test statistic for this hypothesis would be z=1.71

b. Critical value at α = 0.10: z=1.282

c. Reject H0, the television network should not keep its current lineup.

d. H0: p ≤ 0.50; HA: p > 0.50

Step-by-step explanation:

We have to performa an hypothesis test on a proportion.

The claim is that the proportion of viewers that prefer the new show is bigger than 50% (meaning that most viewers prefer the new show).

The null hypothesis will state that both shows have the same proportion.

Then, the null and alternative hypothesis are:

H_0: \pi\leq0.50\\\\H_a: \pi>0.5

The sample proportion is p=0.53

p=X/n=438/827=0.53

The standard error of the proportion is:

\sigma_p=\sqrt{\dfrac{p(1-p)}{n}}=\sqrt{\dfrac{0.5*0.5}{827}}= 0.017

Then, the z-statistic can be calculated as:

z=\dfrac{p-\pi-0.5/n}{\sigma_p}=\dfrac{0.53-0.50-0.5/827}{0.017}=\dfrac{ 0.029 }{0.017} =1.706

The critical value for a right tailed test at a significance level of 0.10 is zc=1.282. This value can be looked up in a standard normal distribution table.

As the statistic is bigger than the critical value, it lies in the rejection region. The null hypothesis is rejected. There is evidence to support the claim that the proportion of viewers which support the new show is larger than 0.50.
