The body already produces enough protein to get by just fine. However, many people think athletes "use up" too much protein and faster than they gain it back, but that is not true because the body regulates homeostasis. I hope I helped :)
I'm assuming salted peanuts is your average peanut since technically both types can be salted. The difference between "salted peanuts" and cocktail peanuts is that Virginia peanuts are often called "cocktail nuts" and are considered large-kernelled while I'm guessing that the average peanut is smaller.
