hi please help me with this prompt for english about the crucible. How do you see the theme of fear in Act 1? How do you the eff
Wittaler [7]

Answer and Explanation:

In the first Act, we can see that fear is a driving force that determines the action, behavior and positioning of the characters in relation to everything that happens in their lives. Thus, we can say that fear, in this story, has the ability to manipulate all members of society. This can be considered an effect of the repressive Puritan society, which works on a blind faith to contain citizens, instead of working with information and freedom. In this case, we can perceive two types of fear that rule the whole story, the fear of witchcraft and diabolical manipulation (we can see this with the girls' fear of being accused of witches and the population's fear of harboring witches), such as the fear of losing their reputation (as we can see at the moment when Reverend Parris had to have a witch inside his house.)

Fear causes lies, accusations, deaths and, as we know, a strong hysteria that almost destroyed the city. Furthermore, fear causes a wave of betrayals and accusations, which all Puritan society in history does not see as sinful acts, but they believe it is justifiable. This shows how this society was contradictory.

16 POINTS<br> What do men and women today think the other wants MOST in a relationship?
BigorU [14]

Women want to have a permanent emotional connection and bond that lasts a lifetime and expects for the man to fulfill their emotional and physical needs. While men want their physical needs to be satisfied and don’t want the women they love and are with to be stubborn, pessimistic and selfish; a woman who doesn’t take their advice at some moments and goes her own way is a huge downer for any man. Now, in reality women cannot think the same as a man and man cannot think the same as a women. That’s how God made us in complete perfection.

Women nowadays think men are only after a girl for their physical appearance and intimacy, it takes time for a woman looking for a relationship to trust a man so deeply that she’s willing to emotionally attach to him. However, it’s the case for most girls because some do their best to please the man to the extent of changing for them or pleasing them every way possible so they won’t leave. Unfortunately, some women are too dependent. Men on the other hand think women are also superficial or sometimes they think all women are the same and they treat them like so when they want to establish a relationship with her. However, being different is what causes them to make the man chase and want to establish a connection with her.

Also, place your own opinions in the prompt. It could help you a lot. Put instead of “I think” the words “a man/woman who is a gamer thinks...”

Hope this helps you sweetie

What does it mean to be "somebody" and what does it mean to be "nobody"?
olga_2 [115]

Being a nobody can be something simple. or saying your a nobody can be someone with depression being sad. one can say they are a nobody just because they're "invisible" to some people. One can say they're a nobody because they are the new kid. and a lot will say they are a nobody just because they arent as known as a lot of people and are the type of people to go to school for a few years; then at graduation, everyone goes, "wait, who are they again, i dont know if ive ever seen them in this school."
