(8) Cotton gin is an important invention that drastically reduced the amount of time needed to separate cotton fibers and seeds. This cotton engine is a machine that quickly and easily separates cotton fibers from their seeds, enabling much greater productivity than manual cotton separation.

(9) Cotton gin could produce much more cotton than workers could by hand, making a significant impact to the way goods were produced.

(11) Industrial Revolution is the period in which the United State began to move from an agricultural system to an industrial system. The industrial revolution was a period of major industrialization and innovation that took place during the late 1700s and 1800s. Industrial revolution started in England and quickly spread throughout the world.

(12) Samuel Slater spent time in London and learned how factory machines were built, he then took this new information back to the United State and built one factory in Rhode Island. He is an industrialist known as the father of the American factory system.

(13) Ingenuity......... This new information helped bring on the industrial revolution ingenuity.
