Answer:

{x}^{2}  - 14x - 49 = 0

{x}^{2}  - (7  + 7)x - 49 = 0

{x}^{2}  - 7x - 7x - 49 = 0

x(x - 7) + 7(x - 7) = 0

(x - 7)(x + 7) = 0

NOW,

x-7=0

or,x=7

And,

x+7=0

or,x= -7

THEREFORE, x= 7, -7

hope it helps you,

Make t the subject of the formula: S = at + bt
riadik2000 [5.3K]
To make t the subject is basically isolating t

S = at + bt
We see on the right side that t is common, so we factor it out.

S = t(a + b)
Divide by (a+b) to isolate t

\frac{S}{a + b} =  \frac{t(a+b)}{(a+b)}
a + b and a + b cancels out
We are left with the answer:
t = \frac{S}{a+b}

You can convert temperature given in degrees Celsius to a Fahrenheit temperature by using the expression 9x / 5+ 32 , where x is
andriy [413]
The formula given in the question for conversion of temperature is

F = 9x/5 + 32
a. When temperature = 0 degrees centigrade, then
F = (9 * 0)/5 + 32
   = 0 + 32
   = 32 degree Fahrenheit

b when temperature of boiling water = 100 degree Celsius, then
F = (9 * 100)/ 5 + 32
   = 900/5 + 32
   = 212 degree Fahrenheit

c. When temperature of water is 15 degree Celsius, then
F = (9 * 15)/5 + 32
   = 27 + 32
   = 59 degree Fahrenheit
