The distribution of fold mountains, as seen in figure 1, are mostly located around areas of tectonic plates surrounding various continents. For example, the Pacific plate, which runs along North America contains a long region of folded mountains along the coast.
All of both North and South America are fully in the western hemisphere. Hope I helped.
