During the late 19th century, the western native american life was mostly affected by the loss of the bison and the ever increasing migration and settlement of the whites.

<h3>Westward Migration</h3>

The lives of Native Americans in the west were greatly threatened by the migration of the whites into the west.

     Prior to the migration, the native indians rarely encountered conflicts among themselves because they had enough land for them to settle.

     The immigration of whites resulted in pushing the native indians father away coupled with the killing of bison.
