What prompted Enrique's mother, Lourdes, to leave her children? Was it a difficult decision and why?

English

Katen [24]2 years ago

Answer:

She left because she couldn't provide a happy childhood for Enrique and his sister in Honduras, as she was already juggling many jobs, so she sought to immigrate to the U.S. for better opportunities. It was a difficult decision because while they may financially be better off when she is in the U.S. sending them money and presents, she doesn't get to raise them or even know them. The difficulty of her decision is seen many times throughout the story, as when she is a housecleaner and a nanny and the child reminds her of Enrique, whom she misses greatly.

The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olaudah Equiano was the first autobigraphy of a slave. It was first published in 1789 and made an impact on Britain, as it made many of the people who read it to support the abolitionist cause.

Equiano converted to Christianity in 1759 and used its Golden Rule of "do unto others, as you have done to you" to reach the audience and try to change their approach towards slavery.

His Christian's beliefs were a fundamental part of his life, especially on his way to become a prominent anti-slavery figure and a writer.

In order to vary the sentence structure, the sentence I would insert in the blank is C. Have you noticed how hard she works? The reason for this is because inserting an interrogative sentence that has a completely different structure and word order than the other two sentences works great in order to introduce some versatility into a paragraph consisting of a couple of sentences. Here, the only sentence that differs is C. which is why you should choose it. Starting three sentences in a row with the same word can be a bit dull and repetitive.
