"When you go to Paris," Grandma Sylvia said to me, "you must ask for a baguette de tradition. That's the good kind. The crust is thin, with just the right amount of crunch, while the interior is light and fluffy."

I just love that first few sentences of the book on chapter 1.

Looking at Gilbert's feelings on time, the
Fittoniya [83]

Answer:

B. False

Explanation:

The question above is related to the story entitled "Another Place, Another Time," written by Cory Doctorow. It focuses on the protagonist named Gilbert and his curiousity about time. When it comes to Gilbert's feelings about time, he believes that time is another dimension and people are capable of going back or going forward (in a similar fashion to that of time travel). So, this makes the statement above as "false," because it didn't focus on time as something we have no control of, but something we can control.

This explains the answer.

viktelen [127]

Answer: The beauty of nature causes the author's "perfect exhilaration."

Explanation:

The Nature is Ralph Waldo Emerson's essay about the appreciation of nature, written from a transcendentalist point of view.

In lines 1-20, the author explains his experience upon seeing a wide, open space of "bare" ground. He simply appreciates the beauty of nature he sees, which enables him to clear his mind. As he describes it, he becomes ''nothing'', and is unified with nature. He does not have any thoughts on his mind, and becomes "a part or particle of a God."

Write 3 sentences about the first day of school that use metaphors.
KIM [24]
I’m glad to be here at school, because I want to be smart enough for school. School is a place where I learn, it makes me feel more intelligence. School is also a safe place for me, it a place where I feel comfortable.
