Given what we know, we can confirm that scientists concluded that the red panda belongs to the family Ailuridae.

How did scientists reach this conclusion?

Initially, red pandas were considered to be a part of the raccoon family, based mostly on the physical traits they possess. The red pandas were then thought to belong to the bear family, based on evidence of genetic similarities. It wasn't until extensive genetic testing was done that scientists realized they shared much of their genetic heritage with that of the Ailuridae family.

Therefore, we can confirm that through extensive genetic testing, scientists determined that the red panda belonged to the Ailuridae family, making them its only living member.

What type of questions cannot be solved by scientific methods?
Natali [406]
Scientific method is a continuous process. This process starts with the observation of a certain phenomenon. Based on what is observed, a hypothesis is develop to describe this phenomenon. This hypothesis is then tested by experiments where the results of these experiments either confirm or contradict the developed hypothesis.
If the hypothesis is contradicted by the results of the experiment, then another hypothesis is developed and tested for either confirmation or contradiction.

Based on this, any question that cannot be tested and studied experimentally cannot be solved using scientific methods.
