“Always do more than what is expected of you.”
I can relate to this cuz I’m the oldest one and I’m about to move out next year. I want to show her that I’m capable of doing what I need to do to get things done. It’s important that I do more of what’s expected of me because my siblings look up to me and I enjoy being a good role model anyways. Doing most of what’s expected of you leaves a good reputation.I usually do more of what’s expected of me because I’ll get more things done and more rewards.
If half a pound is worth 3$ per package, that means that a full pound of fish is 6$ when there is a 50% discount. Which means, when there is not, the full price would be twice as much, 12$.
I would say the poem's mood is positive. He says he has tried several times to kill himself but no matter what he does he decides to make an excuse and not go with it. Stating no matter how bad things get he will go on living, because that's why he was born. That's why everyone was born, to live.
Hope this helped, Have a great day!
Out of these examples I think that the irony in Atticus losing, and getting gifts is the most significant. The reason why I think this irony is so important is because it doesn't seem so ironic to me. It becomes very distinct if you really understand the situation and all of its facets. Atticus is a strongly praised lawyer and community activist, and he decided to sacrifice it all for his own morality. Atticus knew he was losing his friends and his rank, but he nevertheless chose to defend Tom Robinson. Not only did Atticus defend Tom, he, without even thinking about it, defended him thoroughly and to the best of his capacity. I don't think Atticus has been celebrated for losing, for defying the ordinary, and for being a respectable person.
