Nene's occupation in the story, "marriage is a private affair" is teacher

Marriage is a Private Affair by Chinua Achebe

This is a story which shows the African culture on how marriage should be done. The story is about a father and son in the ib-o part of Ni-geria.

The parent is responsible for finding a wife for their son in a typical ib-o setting but the otherwise is the case with Nnae-meka. He found a girl himself and took her to his father to marry. The father was not pleased with this because he already found a girl for him in the village.

Both father and son disagreed with each other and the son decided to go back to Lagos with his wife and keep his marriage a private affair.

They were able to reconcile after 8 years when Nna-emeka's father felt affection towards his grandchildren.

The correct answer is "You are a fortunate young man"

Explanation:

In this excerpt from "In Another Country", the narrator refers to a serious injury in his leg that seems to be the result of the war. About this, he explains his knee does not bend anymore even when he uses a therapy machine.

In this context, the doctor's words can be considered ironic (opposite from the reality or the expectations of the reader) because he tells the main character "You are a fortunate young man". This seems quite contradictory because the man has a serious injury in his leg, and he cannot use the leg anymore, which is the opposite of good fortune.
