Oligarchy is the political system that is run by a group of noble families or wealthy members of a society. The term Oligarchy was first used by the great Aristotle for describing the powers that were held by a very small and highly privileged group. These people often misused their powers and treated the people under their rule very poorly and also used them to satisfy their selfish needs. It has been commonly seen that the rulers that believed in Oligarchy actually selected people on herediterary basis and not based on merit.

The tradition began with the current Queen's grandfather, King George V, in 1932.
When he died, his eldest son, King Edward VIII, did not deliver a Christmas message due to his abdication of the throne.
Edward's younger brother, King George VI, resumed the practice (albeit sporadically at first).
After George's death, his daughter, Queen Elizabeth II, who is the current Queen of England, continued the tradition set by her father.
So in total, that gives us three monarchs who have delivered a Royal Christmas Message:
1) George V
2) George VI
3) Elizabeth II

The United States did not want to get involved in WW2 because isolationist believe that since no country had yet instigated the US, there was no good reason to get involved in the war. But the US was forced to fight after the bombing of Pearl Harbor (which I kinda think is weird since Hawaii wasn't annexed until 1960 into the US)
