History

The Portuguese did not have access to much of Latin and North America because they were limited by the Treaty of Tordesillas.

The Treaty of Tordesillas:

Was signed by Spain and Portugal

Was sanctioned by the Pope

Divided the Americas between the two countries

The treaty effectively limited Portugal to Brazil and allowed Spain to take over other parts of Latin America and North America. As the British and the French were not party to the treaty, they simply took land in North America.

In conclusion, the Portuguese did not have access to much of Latin America and North America because of the Treaty of Tordesillas.

Why did some Americans boycott grapes in the 1960s
lisabon 2012 [21]

Answer:

Americans boycotted grapes in the 1960s because the grape growers were unfair to workers. They were made to work long hours without breaks and little pay. As a result, Americans refused to buy grapes in order to help the grape workers union agitate for better working terms.
