Answer: afterlife

Many scholars define sḫm (sekhem) as the living force or life force of the soul that exists in the afterlife after all judgment has been passed. However, sḫm is also defined in the Book of the Dead as the "power" and as a place within which Horus and Osiris dwell in the underworld.

Answer: Afterlife

They believed that even though a person might die, their soul would survive. They gave the soul two different names: the Ka and the Ba. ... The ancient Egyptians thought that when someone died the Ka, or the life force, left the physical body and could then move around.

Why is there a monument of a paratrooper hanging from the church in sainte-mere-eglise?
Burka [1]
The statue is of John Steele who was part of the U.S. 2nd Battalion of paratroopers that dropped on the town in normandy on D-Day, June 5, 1944. The dropping operation was largely unsuccessful and many of the soldiers were killed before they reached the ground. John Steele managed to survive after his parachute caught on the steeple of a church and he spent the ivasion hanging from his harness. He was later able to rejoin american troops and survived the war.
