President carter failed to sympathise for the people of his country. Some say that he was greedy and only did what he did to gain popularity. His decisions werent well thought out as well
Well, (the way I see it) when Southern Brewers was the only coffee supplier in the market. They could have prices as high as they'd liked, where else would people get good coffee. And so, Albert Coffee than comes along charging less than the leading supplier. And than Café Brites comes and marks their prices lower than the both of them.
Southern Brewers had to lower prices in order to keep up business. People are more apt to buy low cost idems. So if they wanted to continue being a top supplier, they needed to lower prices.
Taxation. Shay's Rebellion happened because banks were foreclosing on farmers' homes. The farmers revolted because they couldn't make their payments <em>and </em><em />the high interest rates which was somehow caused by large post (Revolutionary) war debts. The federal government struggled to pay its debts because the Articles of Confederation didn't allow the federal gov't to <em>force</em> states to pay taxes.
