You use the verb ser to describe the date, origin, characteristics, time, occupation, and relationships. You use the verb estar to describe location and feelings.

11, 12, and 16 are in the past tense the rest are in present tense.

present tense conjugations vary for each ending (-ar, -er, and -ir)
they are all relatively simple. just drop the ending (one of the 3 listed above) and replace it with the conjugations listed below.
