When finding the reciprocal, it is basicaly flipping the numerator and denominator of the number. For instance, the reciporcal of 2 is 1/2, because the denominator of 2 would be 1. For an example more straight forward, the reciporacle of 3/5 is 5/3. This applied to the question goes as followed.

1. 3/5 is 5/3

2. 1/4 is 4

3. 1 is 1

Similarly when dividing fractions or an integer to a fraction, the fraction that is dividing the number turns into the reciprocal then you would multiply.

4.   3/(3/4) is 3*4/3= 4

5.   5/(3/4) is 5*(4/3)= 20/3

6.   8/(4/7) is 8*(7/3)= 56/3

7. 6/(3/5) is 6*(5/3)= 10

8. 2/(5/8) is 2*(8/5)= 16/5

9. 4/(8/9) is 4*(9/8)= 9/2

Answer:

1. \:  \:  \: \frac{5}{3}  \\

2. \:  \:  \frac{4}{1}  = 4 \\

3. \:  \:  \frac{1}{1}  = 1 \\

4. \:  \: 3 \div  \frac{3}{4}  \\  = 3 \times  \frac{4}{3}  \\  = 4 \\

5. \:  \: 5 \div  \frac{3}{4}  \\  = 5 \times  \frac{4}{3}  \\  =  \frac{20}{3}  \\  = 5 \frac{5}{3}  \\

6. \:  \: 8 \div  \frac{4}{7}  \\  = 8 \times  \frac{7}{4}  \\  = 14 \\

7. \:  \: 6 \div  \frac{3}{5}  \\  = 6 \times  \frac{5}{3}  \\  = 10 \\

8. \:  \: 2 \div  \frac{5}{8}  \\  = 2 \times  \frac{8}{5}  \\  =  \frac{16}{5}  \\  = 3 \frac{1}{5}  \\

9. \:  \: 4 \div  \frac{8}{9}  \\  = 4 \times  \frac{9}{8}  \\  =  \frac{9}{2}  \\  = 4 \frac{1}{2}  \\

A balloon attached to an atmospheric data-gathering device must be at least 1000 m high to begin recording information. Two spot
maks197457 [2]

The angle of elevation that the instruments have to record to be at the correct height is given as 79°

<h3>How to solve for the angle of elevation</h3>

We have 2x + 70 = 180

We have to find the value of x

2x = 110

x = 55

y/sin x = 225/sin70

This is the use of sine rule

From here we would have

y = 225(sinx/sin70)

Remember x = 55

y =  225(sin55/sin70)

y = 196.1378

tanθ = 1000/y

tan θ = 1000/196.1378

tanθ = 5.098

θ = tan⁻¹5.098

= 78.90°

Hence the conclusion is that the angle of elevation has to be 78.9 degrees for it to be at the correct height.
