TO find the mean of a group of numbers you simply find the average. To do that, just simply add up all the numbers, then divide by how many numbers there are. So when you add up all of those numbers you get to a sum of: 800
Then divide by the totaly amount of numbers which is 11, so 800 divided by 11 equals:
The mean for those set of numbers is: 72.7272 reapeating so...
72.72 (with a little line over the digits on the right side of the decimal)

A theater can seat 725 people. The number of rows is 4 less than the number of seats in each row. How many rows of seats are the
OverLord2011 [107]
725 is equal to (number of rows)*(number of seats per row)
r = s-4
725 = (s-4)s
s^2-4s-725 = 0
Factoring: (s-29)(s+25) = 0
Thus there are 29 seats per row, and 25 rows.

Based on the probability, the number of customers I would have expected to win: 0.18 x 300 = 36

How many more people I would have expected to win : 36 - 30 = 6
