North: Economically more proficcent, because they industrialized more. Therefore their ecomony was boosted more. North believed that in terms of the Bill of Rights in regards to states rights, that more power needed to be delegated to the Federal Government. Of course as we know they were opposed to slavery.
South: In contrast to the North, the South was in support of slavery, and wasn't as economcially stable. What they ddi have going for them was cotton, because of their mass production of cotton and them selling it to other countries during the civil war they were able to maintain there place in the war as long as they did. However their economy was pretty beaten up after the war, hence the Reconstruction, which failed unfortunately. In regards to States rights, the South believed that there wasnt enough supporting the rights of the states and their freedoms, thats why many southern states wouldnt sign the bill of rights initially due to a lack of resereved powers.
For both in terms of States rights regarding slavery, the North believed it should be out the hands of the state to decide if they have slavery whereas the South was directly opposed to that statement.
