New Opportunities for Saudi Women Women’s rights in Saudi Arabia have made great progress in recent years. A series of reforms h

as removed many legal barriers to women’s freedom, including restrictions on working, driving, traveling, and receiving healthcare. Critics point out that Saudi women’s opportunities are still limited by the traditional guardianship system, in which a male relative (usually a husband or father) exercises considerable control over a woman’s life. A further barrier to progress, particularly in the business world, is the gender segregation observed in most parts of the country, which prohibits unrelated men and women from associating face to face. However, the rapid changes of the last few years suggest that these obstacles may not last much longer. Which aspect of “New Opportunities” shows a positive tone toward the Saudi women’s situation that is different from the tone of “Saudi Arabia’s Changing Economy”?
A the emphasis on how women's opportunities have increased in recent years
B the explanation of how the traditional guardianship system protects women
C the description of women's outstanding educational achievements
D the prediction that women's rights will continue to expand rapidly
