The Nile River carries gold all throughout. Much of Ancient Egypt's gold was sourced from this massive river. The two significant sources of Egyptian gold was found in a place called Nubia toward the South and in the Eastern deserts. Much of this is now part of present-day Sudan.
The intensification of the internal or domestic slave trade occurred to feed the external slave trade. As slavers at the coast demanded more slaves, the pressure intensified in the interior for more slaves. Domestic slavers worked to supply the increased demand.
Oral traditions are key features of Africa’s cultural legacy because they bring hope and entertainment to people. For example African American slaves would sing songs and sometimes dance to help them through their hardships
The rivers allowed a good system of communication between the tribes and they were a good source of food & transportation.
