3x-10=56

79-y=2x    so y=-2x+79

(Solve 3x−10=56 for x):

3x−10=56

3x−10+10=56+10 (Add 10 to both sides)

3x=66

(Divide both sides by 3)

x=22

(Substitute 22for x in y=−2x+79):

y=−2x+79

y=(−2)(22)+79

y=35 (Simplify both sides of the equation)

Answer:

x=22 and y=35

Answer:

3x-10=56

3x=56+10

3x=66

3x/3 = 66/3

x=11

79-y=2x

79-y=2(11)

79-y=22

79-22=y

y=57

therefore x=11 and y=57

Medical students compared two types of knee surgery to determine if patients were able to return to their active lifestyles. The
sweet [91]

Answer:

Option A

Step-by-step explanation:

The response variable is the dependent variable whose variation depends on other variables and in this case it is the type of surgery either total knee replacement or partial knee replacement.

While the explanatory variable which is the independent variable manipulated by the researcher for the given experimental study is the amount of activity the patients were able to do after their respective surgeries.

Help me solve this please ill give good rating...
blagie [28]

Answer: For the first part, her total savings would be $88, and for the second part, (let's pretend s = the total savings) the equation would be s = 40 + w x 6.

Step-by-step explanation: As for the first part, we would need to multiply her money per week times the amount of weeks she works. We can do this by simply multiplying the amount she makes (6) by the amount of weeks she works (8), resulting in 48, but we still have to add that number to the amount she already has, or 40, making $88 in total, as for the second part, this does a great job of explaining the reasoning behind that as well. Hope this answered your question!

Graph the following inequality. Then click to show the correct graph.

3x - 2y ≤ 6
max2010maxim [7]

Answer:

We want to graph the inequality:

3x - 2y ≤ 6

The first step is to write this as a linear equation, to do it, we can isolate y in one side of the inequality.

3x  ≤ 6 + 2y

3x - 6  ≤ 2y

(3/2)x  - 6/2  ≤ y

(3/2)x  - 3  ≤ y

or:

y ≥ (3/2)x  - 3

Because we have the symbol ≥

The points on the line are solutions, then the first part is to graph the line:

y = (3/2)*x - 3

Next, we have:

y equal to or larger than  (3/2)*x - 3

Then we need to shade all the region above that line.

The graph can be seen below.
