AnnZ [28]

Answer:

The ideas that were " suddenly turned upside down," are all the scientific foundations they have about the necessary elements to support life in any ecosystem

This idea was turned upside down due to the discovery of new forms of life that were able to create a new ecosystem with different elements.

Explanation:

It is mention before how all scientists were certain about a universal list of elements to determine the possibilities of life presence in any environment, then when the research showed unexcepted results and opened up a whole new perspective for the scientific world, the original concept got utterly challenged.
