Text talk is now a spoken language and everyone's lives centre around shopping because of ad. Everybody does this except one girl, who never shops for anything and speaks proper English. Anderson depicts the text talkers in a bad light and makes the one girl who doesn't as the heroine and the one we should be admiring. This is an example of Anderson's protest.
