Answer: Vietnam and Watergate shape American perception in many ways, some of which are the following:Vietnam War in 1968 made Americans believe that social change is inevitable and can not be halted by mere policies.It also made the Americans believe in the tolerance and individuality of the citizens.The Watergate issue, however, changed the perception of the Americans to believe that a corrupt President would surround himself with corrupt people, including corrupt culture.It also made the Americans believed that the characteristics of corrupt practices of the government would define the areas that require reforms.Hence, in this case, it is concluded that Vietnam and Watergate shape American perception in many ways. ( you didn't give me an article so)
