The Declaration of Independence kicked off the American revolution by forcing to cut ties between The English North American Colonies and England herself. In the document it conveys natural rights and equality among men. Which at the time were highly progressive ideals. The founding fathers were considered radicals due to the revolution they started. This also inspired what would later be the French Revolution, as the people of France demanded these same natural rights. The Declaration of Independence set a movement of political fervor in Europe and other colonies.
