The second one is reflecting that regardless of what people are paid…they will eventually be replaced by automated machines who are cheaper to replace/repair than people. They need no training and only software updates to keep opening smoothly. Machines don’t get sick…they don’t need down time…they don’t need days off. So they, in the long room, are worth the money to replace people.
