Answer:

D.

Step-by-step explanation:

7 5/6 - 9 3/4 = −1 11/12

(-7 5/6) + (-9 3/4) = −17 7/12

(-7 5/6) * 9 3/4 = -76 3/8

(-7 5/6) / (-9 3/4) = 94/117

This is easy to figure out at a glance, but I thought whole answers would be easier to understand.

So basically, the equations two negatives are better off being crossed off if negatives are being added together, multiplied together, or multiplied by a positive number. Negative divided by a negative will be the greatest answer, because it will lead to a positive most of the time.

| 7x-2 | +3 = -1 solve for x
seropon [69]

Answer:

x = -2/7 or

x = 6/7

Step-by-step explanation:

|7x-2| + 3 = -1  subtract 3 from both sides

|7x-2| = -4 now there are two probabilities

7x-2 = -4 or

7x-2 = 4 if first probability the value of x would be:

7x-2 = -4 add 2 to both sides

7x = -2 divide both sides by 7

x = -2/7 for the second probability the value of x would be:

7x-2 = 4 add 2 to both sides

7x = 6 divide both sides by 7

x = 6/7

How do you solve<br><img src="https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=59%20%3E%202x%20%20%2B%2045" id="TexFormula1" title="59 &gt; 2x + 45" alt
Reika [66]

So you would act like it was an equal sign and solve it like normal. Subtract 45 from both sides. Get 14"="2x. Divide by 2 and get 7 >x. If you were to multiply or divide by a negative than you would flip the sign, but you leave it in this case because you divided by a positive.  I hope that helps.
