She stops in front of the coffees and is surrounded with the smell of roasted coffee beans, hints of sweetness and bitterness in the air. An old woman stops nearby and grabs a dark roast an walks away after giving her a smile, the imposing shelves tower of her with hundreds of different brands and flavors. She tentatively reach's out and grabs a light roast with small pieces of candy cane's and sets it softly in the basket she is holding in her left hand. Answer: In this passage, Lady Macbeth expresses her feeling that she and Macbeth have gotten what they wanted, to be king and queen of Scotland, but they are not truly happy. Macbeth is growing paranoid about retaining his power and status, and emotional distance is beginning to separate him and his wife when they had once been so close.
