Answer:

Here's what a quatrain is:

Explanation:

A quatrain is a group consisting of four lines.

A quatrain has a certain pattern for each quatrain in a poem. For example, if you are reading a sonnet (a type of poem), you will notice there are three quatrains.

  • The first quatrain is labeled abab (to describe the rhyming pattern)

  • The second one is labeled cdcd

  • And the third one is labeled efef

  • After the three quatrains, a couplet follows.

Hope this helps!!

What reason does Grendel give for being against Hrothgar?
alexandr402 [8]
Grendel is an ogre who is a descendant of Cain, the son of Adam and Eve. According to the legend, Cain or in Hebrew, Qayin means ‘creature’ and creatures or monsters such as Grendel are of the same blood as Cain. Because of his state as an ogre, he feels anger, resentment and hate towards the human race because he feels that God blesses them unlike him. He especially has a strong dislike of the beautiful mead-hall, Heorot which Hrothgar built because it shows the light, joy and music that he cannot enjoy. Thus, he hates Hrothgar.
